All students are equal partners in their learning experience with the SA and the university. Class representatives take an active part in supporting positive change within the university.
Each class Rep is elected by their class mates to feedback what matters to the students on the course and work on improving them! Class reps work with the SA and the university to solve issues and spread ideas to improve students’ experience across the university.
Class Reps have the opportunity enhance positive aspects of a programme to be developed further with help from staff!
Class Reps also become members of the Student Representative Council or SRC. The SRC is made up of Class Reps, members of the elected Executive Committee and members of Societies. The council is designed to be a forum for class reps to come together and raise issues and discuss possible actions that can be taken to make positive institutional change for the benefit of the Abertay community.
Class Reps are also invited to programme meetings with lecturers and university staff where they help to shape programmes for current and future students.
Full training is provided for Class Reps which will give you techniques to gather information from class mates and teach you all about The SA and the university.
Take a hands on approach to improving your school, become a Class Rep!
