What made you choose to join the AberGays Society?

It is a welcoming community that offers a safe space for queer people like myself.

How does the AberGays Society create a safe and inclusive space for its members?

Absolutely, it does an excellent job of making fellow queer people feel as though they have a space to be safe.

If you could have a conversation with a famous LGBT+ activist, living or deceased, who would it be and what would you talk about?

No specifically an LGBT activist but Alan Turing as he was incredibly important to both queer history and the history of computer science both of which are extremely important to me. I would love to ask him how he felt society treated him as a gay man in the 1940s as it would be enlightening to see how things have changed, but also see what has stayed the same.

Looking to the upcoming academic year, what are the goals and aspirations of the AberGays society? Are there any specific campaigns, initiatives or policy changes that the society aims to pursue?

Specifically for me I would like to grow our membership so that we can offer a safe space for a greater number of queer people
