What made you choose to join the Abertay University Law Society?

Having joined the university during covid, I found it difficult to build relationships with my peers in earlier years of study. I saw the wide array of events the society hosts and knew it would be an amazing opportunity to socialise with people of similar interests and work on my professional journey.

What areas of law are you most interested in or passionate about?

I am most interested in criminal and human rights law.

How has being a member of the Law Society enhanced your academic and professional journey in the field of law?

Being a member of the law society has massively enhanced my networking skills and helped me improve my commercial awareness, increasing my employability.

What specific activities or events organised by the AULS did you find most useful and enjoyable?

My favourite event held by the society so far has been the Thorntons Insight evening. This gave me a better insight into how a firm works in practice which is something we do not learn in a lecture hall.
