What made you choose to join the Abertay University Law Society?

I’ve been going to all the events that the law society has hosted over the past few years, so decided to join the committee.

What made you pursue a career in law?

I think in pursuing this career I saw it as a challenge for myself at the beginning, which it has been. I think another big part of why I wanted to do this was the idea of being able to represent someone and provide some sort of help in people’s times of struggle.

What areas of law are you most interested in or passionate about?

Originally, I was always interested in criminal law. But over my years at university, I have found myself becoming more interested in other areas of law. These include areas such as family law or commercial law.

What specific activities or events organised by AULS do you find most useful and enjoyable?

Aside from social events, I have found academic events such as the Thorntons Insight event most useful. I quite often find the social events quite useful and enjoyable in terms of bridging the divide between the different years within the law school.

What’s the most embarrassing or funny thing that has ever happened to you?

That would be falling over and getting a black eye and not realising until the next morning when I couldn’t even open my eye. Another thing would be falling down the stairs in casino and making them delete the cctv of it because I was so embarrassed.

If you could have a dinner party with any three celebrities, who would you invite and why?

First would be Adam Sandler because he’s a funny guy. The second would be Post Malone because I was meant to see him live twice and still haven’t seen him yet as I am bad luck apparently. Third would be Jürgen Klopp because I just want a hug from that man.

If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?

A tiger because they are my favourite animal. They are so cute and fluffy.
