What is one goal you'd like to achieve with this role this year?

Setting up an international student mentorship programme where ideally a new international student is matched with an experienced international student. This aims to help smoothen the transition from home country to Scotland.

If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why? 

A panda.  I love that they seem completely unconcerned with self-preservation. They are literally always tumbling about. They’re clumsy, carefree, and a little chaotic, but that’s part of their charm. I think that's me in a nutshell lol. I take on a lot of serious roles and responsibilities in life, so I think it’s nice to balance that by being a bit ditsy and carefree in other aspects, especially socially. I feel like having a panda as a pet would be like having my twin.

If you could have any superpower for a day, what would you choose and how would you use it? 

I’d choose the Midas touch because I love shiny things. Now, I could say I’d use it to solve world hunger or trade gold for peace, but honestly, I just think it would be a really cool superpower to have. I’d probably spend the day tinkering with it and hopefully find some great purpose for it along the way.  But I sincerely hope that I’d manage to do that before accidentally turning myself into a gold statue.
