What made you choose to join the PokeTay Society?
I really like Pokémon and I wanted to meet people who share that love! I was nervous about meeting new people at my time in university, and meeting people with a shared interest helped a lot
If you could have any Pokémon as your real-life companion, which one would you choose and why?
I always loved the Pokémon Dewott. It was the first starter I ever had, and I still have it in my Pokémon Home.
If you could design your own Pokémon, what type and abilities would it have, what would it look like and what would you name it? Draw it and take a picture if you want.
That is a really tough question, am really interested in Folklore, and Norway has a lot of really cool folklore creatures, I think I would make it a Fairy Water type Pokémon based on Nøkken, a shape-shifting creature that lurks in bogs and lures people in and drowns them. It would have two forms, one resembling a white horse, and one resembling a swamp creature covered in leaves and mud.
What is your favourite item of Pokémon memorabilia that you own and what makes it so special?
I have quite a large collection of Pokémon memorabilia, it’s hard to choose a favourite. If the games themselves count, I enjoy collecting them, I have almost all of them, but my favourite would have to be my copy of Pokémon Black 2 as that was the first ever Pokémon game I ever received. I got it as a Christmas gift in 2013. Other than that I have a lot of cool figures, plushies and weird accessories.
What has Pokémon taught you that you apply to your life?
Well, Pokémon was what motivated me to learn English, as I am not a native speaker. I also think Pokémon has a lot of good messages about friendship, and it has actually led to me making a lot of friends, which was why I joined the PokeTay society in the first place!
If you were a Gym Leader in the Pokémon world, what type of Pokémon would you specialise in, and what would be your signature battle strategy?
I have thought about this a few times, I think I would be either a rock type gym leader that uses fossil Pokémon, or I would be a steel type gym leader because a lot of really cool Pokémon are steel types.
If you could be any fictional character for a day, who would you choose and why?
I would have to choose Ben 10, being able to turn into so many different aliens with unique powers and abilities is just a really cool concept, plus that green jacket looks sweet!
