What made you choose to join the Women in Games Society?
I joined the society as I want to make a safe space and the experience for any women in the game's courses feel welcome and included with equal opportunities.
What initially sparked your interest in game development, and what are some of the most rewarding aspects of creating your own video games?
I became interested in game development after my high school computing teacher suggested Game Design & Production to me as I had an interest in both art and computer science. One of the most rewarding aspects of creating your own video game is watching others around you experience and enjoy the gameplay and concept.
Can you share a particular games development project that you’re proud of?
In my second year of Game Design & Production I created a game alongside my teammates for DES-207 called Wee-Mon, Muggins. The game was received well and successfully scared some of our play testers.
What are some of your favourite genres or game experiences to create?
My favourite game genres are; horror, fantasy and first-person shooters
If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why?
I would live in The Legend of Zelda’s Hyrule. It’s super nostalgic as it was one of the first games I ever played, and I love the fantasy theme.
What's your favourite board game or video game, and what makes it so enjoyable for you?
My favourite game is The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, I played it a lot when I was a kid and again during lockdown. It has a cool art style, theme and the music is great.
If you could have any superpower for a day, what would you choose and how would you use it?
I would have infinite knowledge and learn a bunch of languages quickly and easily.
