Elections are open for the following positions:
- Department Reps: represent students in your department of the university (e.g., Games & Arts, etc.)
- Community Reps: represent students in underserved groups (e.g., students with care experience, disabled students, BAME students, etc.)
Nominations are open now and close on Friday 26th September at 3pm.
Voting opens Monday 29th September at 10am and closes on Friday 3rd October at 3pm.

What do the roles involve?
Within your Faculty and department, you'll ensure student feedback is heard at the highest levels, while at SRC, you'll hold the President & Vice-President accountable, present your opinions, and vote on motions affecting student campaigns and policies.
Your role involves gathering student opinions, engaging with your department, relaying concerns, and developing your skills. Full training is provided, and it's a great opportunity to make meaningful changes. There is also pizza at every meeting!
What can I do in the role?
Last year's SRC did all this and more:
- Establishing a yearly free field trip to Holyrood
- Meeting local MSPs to discuss student issues
- Working with Living Rent on student housing
- Improving 1st year microcredentials
- Creating better systems for societies
- SHAG*Week (*Sexual Health & Guidance) as an annual event
