What made you choose to join the Games Development Society?
I joined the Games Development Society because it was one of my reasons for joining Abertay itself! Game jams, talking about game development, and all the like allowed me to be both a Computer Arts student and to stretch my game dev muscles now and then, as well as to meet other people like me.

What makes a good video game, in your opinion?

For me, a 'good' video game isn't purely about the mechanics, its player engagement, the amount of content, etc, that makes a fun and interesting gameplay experience, but is it 'good'? I would rather bracket it into games I recommend, as I think they have A LOT going for them, and will make a lasting impression, those one-in-a-million experiences. When we have so little time, why waste it on a 5/10 or 7/10 when we could go for 10/10? There are so many options! I'd say I'm a bit media illiterate, as it takes me a long time to choose something and actually watch or play it. Still, experiences like Dishonoured, Arcane, Minecraft, Portal 2, and the like truly shaped my visual and narrative library for all my future experiences. My art style and interesting change form can be shifted to the project at hand, and I can explore a wide variety of topics. I attribute this to the vast variation of media and games I've consumed. In my post, I can only hope to continue learning and enjoying more great games! (Ehem, give Hades a shot)

If you could have a dinner party with any three celebrities, who would you invite and why?

I'm going to consider celebrities as famous or well-known people in general for this, as I'd love to see how Hideo Kojima, Hayao Miyazaki, and Naoki Yoshida would get along. They all share similar interests and create some truly captivating, out-of-this-world experiences in their preferred mediums. I believe the discussions they would have would be CAPTIVATING, and I would learn loads from them. (I would need a translator though haha)

If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?

Foxieee, I mean.. Look at em, lil fluffy rascals. That or racoons, or opossums.. I like the dumb, fluffy, trash animals. 🙂 I feel like they would understand my questionable activities.
