What made you choose to create the Miku Society?
Back when I started to get really immersed within the Vocaloid Community, I had a bit of a reputation for being obsessed with Miku, and around early 2024, I was looking at the societies page jokingly suggesting a Miku Society. But afterthought with my now secretary, we thought it would be a good idea to try and form a group of people who are all interested in the same thing to come and possibly create some cool media within the Vocaloid/Vocal Synth community. Plus, more Miku is never a bad thing.
What drew you to Hatsune Miku and the Vocaloid community?
Tbh I am surprised I haven’t found it sooner…. The 2020 newbie anime phase changes a man, and being in that field of the internet will eventually show you Vocaloid stuff. The main thing I love about it is the creative freedom. There is so many different styles and artistic directions you can take Vocaloids that it just breeds creativity.
If Hatsune Miku were a student at this university, what would she study?
I think she would do GDP so she can finally design a game that isn’t a rhythm game. Miku idle clicker when?
If you could introduce someone new to Hatsune Miku, which song or project would you show them first?
Viva Happy - Mitchie M. No matter what mood I am in, be it sad, angry or happy, putting that song on will instantly change you into the world’s biggest optimist
If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why?
I would forever want to live in the Carramella Dansen music video. Have you seen how happy they look in that video? I want to join them so I can dance for the rest of my days with nothing to worry about.
What's your favourite board game or video game, and what makes it so enjoyable for you?
I love Musedash. It’s the biggest anime brain rot rhythm game ever (plus you can play as Miku). Games requiring intense concentration with so much going on it make my brain shut up for once. There is no better feeling in the world than chugging 2 monsters and opening up that game… pure euphoria!!!
If you could have a dinner party with any three celebrities, who would you invite and why?
The first would be Jack Black. I have loved Tenacious D my whole life, and I just want to play a little jam with him after we eat. Next, I would want the creator of Smiling Friends, Zach Hadel. I feel like me and him have the same type of erratic creative thinking. Then I would want Thundercat. The actual goat on the bass. Biggest inspiration on my bass playing ever.
