What made you choose to join RMAS?
Blair yelled "Swords" at freshers fair and i like swords
What initially sparked your interest in RMA (HEMA)?
Blair asking if I wanted to learn how to fight with a sword, the answer of course being yes.
Do you have a favourite historical weapon or fighting style within HEMA and why does it appeal to you?
My favourite weapon system would be Dussack, a german one handed training weapon as taught by Joachim Meyer. The reason it appeals to me is due to having a constant flow between relatively basic techniques, allowing my brain to focus entirely upon what techniques to use, allowing a very reactive style of fencing.
Have you ever participated in an RMA (HEMA) and what was the most enjoyable part of the experience?
Yes I have. I have participated in the past 7 RMAS tournaments we have hosted. My favourite part of the experience was spectating the finals of said tournaments and seeing more skilled fencers and techniques they use or skills they have a good grasp on that I can set myself goals to learn.
What's the most adventurous thing you've ever done or would like to do in the future?
I would like to travel to historical monuments and see more of world history, if i had to choose my first country of choice would be Italy.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future, and why?
The future, as if I travelled to the past I'd probably get attacked for sorcery.
If you could have any superpower for a day, what would you choose and how would you use it?
I would have the power to speak to animals, and have a conversation with my dog.
