The Student President sits as Vice Chair of the Trustee Board: the governing body of the students association. They actively promote the ideas and needs of students and run campaigns.
They also engage nationally in topics which concern Abertay students, and represent students in University Court: the Abertay's governing body.
Hiya!
You may already recognise me as last year's president Liv - now Livi! I am back for another round! Three things to know about me are: I love Shrek, Game of Thrones and cats and that's pretty much it!
Last year I organised and hosted a range of awareness events such as 16 Days of Activism, Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance Week (known as SHAG Week) and Mental Health Awareness along with a bunch of free snacks and crafts!
This year I aim to improve on previous events and bring more opportunities to you all!
The main focuses for this year are:
- Community collaboration!
- Student Opportunities
- Events with long-lasting impact
- Sustainability Garden
- Student Spaces
