Come and join the team at Abertay Students’ Association. We are looking for creative and driven staff to help us improve democratic processes and support student leaders. You’ll work closely with elected officers and our small team in a collaborative, supportive, and at times, challenging environment. You will bring your expertise in democracy, organising, and relationship building to a small, high-performing team.
About the Role
This role is central to ensuring Abertay remains a strong, democratic, and representative students’ association. You will oversee and continuously improve our democratic systems, including elections. While building strong relationships with class reps, rep council and partnerships city wide. A key part of the role is equipping student representatives with the training, data, and support they need to advocate effectively for their members. Working closely with elected officers, you’ll help embed inclusive, transparent processes and strengthen the voice of students at Abertay University.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, inspirational individual who is passionate about delivering an excellent student-centred service. The post-holder will have experience of leading and managing projects and supporting and motivating people. The successful postholder will have strong project management skills and be able to devise, plan and execute appropriate activity to deliver against success measures. They will also have experience of training and empowering both staff and volunteers, with the confidence to deliver sessions to groups of students.
In addition, the post-holder will have excellent communication skills, an understanding of best practice in project management, a good understanding of both operational and reputational risk management and the skills and ability to handle competing priorities.
