Period Products 🩸
The Abertay Students' Association and the University have been working in partnership to ensure any students has access to free period products on campus.
To find products you can have a look in any of the university's bathrooms or look for our the period wagon and shelf.
Kydd Building - The Wagon
The period wagon has existed for a couple of years thanks to your 22/24 student president and provides all sorts of period products. From tampon to pads, you have a variety of brands to choose from. It is located on the 1st floor of the Kydd Building, on top of the stairs of the foyer!
Additionally if you would like to try reusable period products - the Estate Teams puts out a new batch of reusable underwear every last thursday and last friday of the month so don't miss out cause they go out quickly!
The Library - Period and Condom Shelf;
The period and condom shelf is a recent addition by the 25/26 student president on the ground floor of the library in the Students' Association space!
You will find mostly products from Hey Girls, a company that is highly sustainable and fights to end period poverty through their products.
If you would like any products to be added that you can't find at the moment in the wagon or in on the shelf please contact president@abertaysa.com or vp@abertaysa.com to have a discussion and we will see if we can add any new products!
Condom
The Old College - S.H.A.G Shelf;
In 2023, your student president launched S.H.A.G. week (Sexual Health and Guidance Week) and created with the help of the university a free condom shelf.
The shelf is located in the Old College, at the Junction on the 3rd floor.
You can find coondoms for all sizes and preferences, free to take home with you! We also provide leaflets to ensure proper usage and to learn more about staying safe.
The Library - Period and Condom Shelf
In 2026, your student president added to the library a period product and condom shelf on the Ground Floor of the Library, free to access for anyone!
You can find period products, and a variety of condoms and lube for anyone who might need it!
