What made you choose to join the Abertay Cubing Society?

I’ve always had a love for puzzles, cubes being one of the main puzzles I enjoy. So joining the society seemed like the perfect way to bond with other people over a shared interest.

When did you solve your first Rubik’s Cube, and how long did it take?

I solved my first cube at some point during 2020 and it took about 30 minutes. (I was following a youtube video :)

What’s the weirdest cube or puzzle you own or have tried?

Either the 3x3x9 or the 2x2x3 shaped like a dinosaur.

What advice would you give to a new cuber just starting out?

To keep practicing because it will click eventually you might just need to see it a different way.

What's your favourite board game or video game, and what makes it so enjoyable for you?

I’d have to say Slime Rancher, I just love collecting the slimes, and my favourite has to be the puddle slimes. I’m a sucker for any farm simulator game, hence I also like Stardew Valley.

If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?

Rats, since they’re quite clever and can be trained to do certain tricks.

If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why? 

The Umbrella Academy, I’d love to meet and talk to the characters especially Viktor and Klaus as there’s such depth to them. I’d also be interested in what working for the commission was like.
