What made you choose to join the Abertay Cubing Society?

I have always been interested in cubing and puzzles since a young age. I finally learnt during COVID lockdowns and have even become a top competitor within Scotland across multiple events.

What’s your current personal best (PB), and what method do you use?

6.35 seconds. I use Advanced CFOP

Is there a goal you're currently working toward — sub-X time, new method, etc.?

My current big goal is to win a gold medal for any event in an official WCA competition. A secondary goal would be to get sub-10 on the main 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube

What advice would you give to a new cuber just starting out?

Do not feel rushed to learning new things, take it one thing at a time to adjust to something new and enjoy every part of the journey. Always feel free to ask questions to anyone.

If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why?

I would choose to live in a galaxy far far away among the worlds of Star Wars. I absolutely love space and sci-fi so being in a place where interstellar travel is so accessible would be a dream and even an opportunity to wield the force and train as a jedi would complete me.

What's your favourite board game or video game, and what makes it so enjoyable for you?

Uno has to be my number one card game to play with friends or family. I love a competitive game and getting to do it with anyone and having heated moments in a game with your closest friends or family is the best.

If you could be any fictional character for a day, who would you choose and why?

If I could be anyone it would have to be Spider-Man. Having that super human strength, climbing abilities and web-slinging along with being incredibly smart partnered with saving the neighbourhood from crime would be an amazing and rewarding life to have.
