What made you choose to join the society?
I wanted to get back into arts and crafts, as well as meet new people with the same interests.
What’s your favourite crafting activity and what do you enjoy most about it?
Drawing is my favourite, specifically in black and white, I enjoy drawing skulls the most due to all the small details and the way perspective affects how much of the detail can be seen.
What is your preferred crafting environment?
My preferred environment is a fun and friendly one, where everyone is supportive and can just chat where there's no judgement. Which I have found this society absolutely is!
Can you recall a particularly memorable or transformative creative project or experience? What made it so impactful for you?
I recall the first time I was finally able to draw again. We were creating characters and I did a silly cat. This is significant to me as it was the point I realised the society had helped me regain confidence in my abilities, which I had lost due to discouragement from my art teacher in high school.
If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why?
If I could live in any world it would be The Elder Scrolls franchise. I love all the different creatures, from Warlocks to Dragons, and the environments as well as the lore behind it.
What's your favourite board game or video game, and what makes it so enjoyable for you?
My favourite game of all time is The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. I love that even 12 years after its release players are still discovering little secrets hidden around the map. Although of the more recent game releases, Stray is one of my top games, I do feel it was a little short but I enjoyed running around as a cat and the puzzles.
If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?
If I could have anything as a pet it would be a dragon. Not only do dragons look cool but there is also the flying aspect. We could go anywhere in the world without having to pay or worry about wait times. It would all be done with my best friend; the dragon!
