What made you choose to join the Roleplaying Society?

I’ve been a part of the Roleplaying Society for a few years now. I initially joined because I enjoyed the hobby but seeing the amazing community that has been built around it at Abertay is what led to me wanting to help run it.

What initially attracted you to the world of roleplaying games, and what aspects of the game do you find the most captivating and enjoyable?

I’ve got a large interest in drama and acting, so for me roleplaying games is a way to just relax, do some improv acting and no one cares if it’s good or bad, you’re just playing a character and having fun.

Do you have a favourite character that you have created or played in a roleplaying game? Tell us more about them.

Wing will forever be my first and favourite character. They were an Air Genasi Sorcerer who could imbue their magic into an object until it gets cast. So, what did my character do with this gift? Run scams of course :D SNAKE OIL SALESMAN. The campaign I played with him was amazing since the other players were genuinely such a fun and amazing group (plus the DM and a few were wanting to be voice actors so my mini critical role xd). Long story short, my Snake Oil Salesman from the slums married into Royalty of a freed kingdom and now takes their kids out of the castle to his smaller cardboard castle he made himself on the weekends.

Have you ever been the DM of a campaign? What did you enjoy the most about it?

Yes! I have been a DM of a few campaigns, the latest one being hosted throughout the weekly meetups of the roleplaying society. The most enjoyable thing for me to see as a DM is player expression and creativity. I’m not as great at prep as other DMs but I try to alter my style to fit what seems to be the most fun for the current group I’m in as every player has their own flair and style to them that all forms the party.

What's your favourite board game or video game, and what makes it so enjoyable for you?

It has to be Slay the Spire (both board and video game :D). I love card games and building large engines with combos and Slay the Spire is perfect for fuelling that desire xd

If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?

I’m going simple with this one, it’d have to be my favourite animal, the red panda. They’re just so adorable and fluffy and I love how they look :D

If you could have any superpower for a day, what would you choose and how would you use it?

Ice powers; specifically ice wings that I can fly with. I really enjoy making stuff so just being able to create things with ice seems cool but if you have experienced moving at high speeds with the wind in your face and no danger is coming your way, coasting along, that right there is a feeling I love and being able to fly seems to encapsulate that feeling.
