What made you choose to join the SAL Drama Society?
I have always loved acting and theatre and wanted an opportunity to expand my skillset and make friends who were also interested in theatre.

If you could play any character from a play or a movie, who would it be and why?
I love the Hatchetfield trilogy by Starkid so I would love to play any character in any of their projects, but if I had to pick one it would have to be Paul Mattews from The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals. I love him so much as he is just a guy trying to live his life in the middle of an apocalypse. He goes from confused to scared to hero over the course of a day. I love this story and character (Uncle Wiley/Wilbur Cross from Black Friday is a close second)

What’s the most challenging role you’ve ever played, and what did you learn from the experience?
I played the Mad Hatter from Alice by Laura Wade for my Nat 5 exam. With all the characters being wacky and with Hatter having the highest statement I often had to prompt myself rather than another character having a unique line. And about 50% of my lines were “It’s 6 o’clock, time for tea!” so it took some time for me to get off book.

Have you ever had a memorable blooper or funny incident during a performance or acting class?
Please share! I was added to a scene the day of the performance, the play was Chat Back by David Judge for the national theatre connections 2022 and I played Bruno the dog. The scene was a weird one (honestly the whole play was kind of weird) a character who dies previously had to rewind time to stop another character from dying in a knife fight, so the actor had to scoot around the stage on a scooter while everyone else was in tableau while a song we recorded wrong played. I wasn’t as used to the weirdness of the scene, due to not rehearsing it more than once, so I hid my face in my hands so the audience wouldn’t see me korpsing, as I did laugh, the entire way through that scene.

If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why?
The Disney Fairies world (from the Tinkerbell movies) I would love to be a whimsical little fairy with very little to worry about.

If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?
A Red Ruffed Lemur. These are my favourite animals because they look so funny and their so silly!

If you could be any fictional character for a day, who would you choose and why?
Scrooge McDuck, I don’t know if I need to explain this... be rich and go on adventures, sign me up!
