What made you choose to join The Book Club?  

As a mature student I am always looking for ways to meet new people who share similar interests. The Book Club offers a welcoming and inclusive space for like-minded people to come together and make new friends while sharing their love of reading in a supportive environment.  

What’s a book you’ve re-read multiple times and why? 

The Girl on the Train. I have returned to this book a few times because of how cleverly it plays with perception. It's dark and tense, and even when you know the twist, the main character's flaws and doubts feel relatable.  

If you could live in the world of any book, which one would it be?  

The Secret Garden, quiet, beautiful, full of life and fresh starts. 

What’s your favourite book-to-film adaptation?  

The Hunger Games, I thought the films did a brilliant job at capturing the tones and messages of the books.
