What made you choose to join the Women in Games Society?

I was inspired to create the Women in Games Society after presenting at Abertay’s Offer Holders Day. I spoke to a girl who was nervous about coming to university and finding people who share her ‘nerdy’ interests and passion for Games, she was worried she wouldn’t be able to find other girls who are like her. This made me realise that there wasn’t a space for women to bond over their love for games and shared interests. Abbie and I founded the Women In Games Society so women can have a safe, friendly and supportive environment to pursue their careers within the industry and find other women who are just like them!

Can you share a particular games development project that you’re proud of?

I’m super proud of my DES207 project Anarchy Academy. The project really pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me build up so much confidence within my own art.

If you could be transported into a game, which one would it be? Which character would you be and why?

I’d love to be a Yordle in Bandle Tale, the environment art creates such a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. I’d love to go into the universe to just look around and take in the environment!

What makes a good video game, in your opinion?

Good character design! Be it well written, awesome looking characters or just a funny little guy.

If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why?

I’d love to live in the world of Animal Crossing, I’d love to just run around all day decorating, fishing and speaking to my little animal friends.

What's your favourite board game or video game, and what makes it so enjoyable for you?

My favourite Video Game is Baldur’s Gate 3, every play through of the game feels so unique as the story can change based on where you go, to who you interact with and how you play your character!

If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?

I’d 100% have a Red Panda, there just so silly. It would be so fun to cuddle one, they’d be so soft and fluffy!!!
