What made you choose to join the Women in Games Society?
I chose to become a part of this society to not only support but encourage women to be more involved in the gaming industry as we need more representation and role models. This society is an amazing way to share experiences, achievements and is a safe space for everyone. Being a part of this community has allowed me to meet talented and incredible people who has the same goal in creating a change to push for equity in gaming spaces. It’s a very welcoming and enjoyable place for anyone who has a passion for games.
What initially sparked your interest in game development, and what are some of the most rewarding aspects of creating your own video games?
I chose game development as I want to share the joys I felt in playing games to other people. I think one of the most rewarding aspects of creating your own game is to see people truly enjoy something you’ve worked hard on and to know that I’ve put a smile on their face.
What are some of your favourite genres or game experiences to create?
My favourite genres range from competitive fps games (like valorant or apex) to sandbox indie games (like Stardew valley or Minecraft). I enjoy playing games that involves other people.
If you could be transported into a game, which one would it be? Which character would you be and why?
If I was transported into a game, I would like to be in Palia as its fantasy setting and living in a small yet lively community and creating your own farm and house from scratch sounds super fun.
If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why?
If I could live in any fictional world, I would live in a world where Pokémons exist so I can catch all the cute pink ones.
If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?
I don’t know if this counts but I really want my own Baymax from big hero 6. I feel like they would be the best companion to be with. Or like a snorlax so I can have someone to eat and sleep all day with.
If you could have any superpower for a day, what would you choose and how would you use it?
I would love to have infinite knowledge so I can create my own Baymax.
