Abertay Women in Games Society
The Abertay Women in Games Society is a place for anyone who is an advocate for building a fair and inclusive environment within games education and the industry. Whether you’re looking to meet people who share the same passion for our cause, or just hoping to find some new friends within the university, this society is for you!
As a society, we want to provide women who aspire to get into the industry with the support and opportunities they need to become successful in their careers. We aim to bring awareness about the challenges women face in the gaming industry and help advocate for a change, while building a safe and welcoming community for everyone through our social and industry events throughout the academic year.
Anyone is welcome into the WGS- not just women, and whether you’re a games student or not! As a member of the society, you will be able to attend all of our events during the year, including in-person social events and online game nights.
Where and when do we meet?
We don't have set meeting times weekly/bi-weekly. We hold events each month both online and in-person. Join our Discord to keep up to date!
Membership 🎟
A membership will allow you to attend all of the activities and events we host (i.e in-person meet-ups, game nights, online events etc.). It is priced at £3 per academic year.
